Saturday Morning
An elusive morning, one with no alarms or pressing matters,
Yet here I lay, alone.
A seeming fitting trend to my mindset manifesting.
The unwanted feeling settles in and stays for awhile.
Such a great opportunity missed.
I wrestle with the sheets for awhile, until I realize they aren't the company I was hoping for.
I stand, pull the blankets and tuck the corners.
Perhaps he'll notice me one day and seek out my company, but probably not.
Sharing this bed alone, I might as well not be here.
